Yes! You can create a new note or import an existing one, and it will append the content to the note.
Yes! Simply add an existing note from your Obsidian vault, and you're good to go. You can also configure Type to open notes with Obsidian by default in the settings.
You can add any note from your Obsidian vault folder to Type, including your daily note.
Yes! You can customize the date format in the settings. You can configure a different date format, just date or time, or even define your own custom format (e.g. ISO format).
Navigate to the Settings, select the Format tab, and choose the Custom date format option. There, you will find the ISO format among the presets.
Yes! You can currently use bold, italic, code formatting, and create links. More options will be added in the future.
Yes! The app is fully navigable via keyboard shortcuts. You can navigate between notes, and even create new notes without touching the mouse. Head over to the manual to see the full list of available shortcuts.
Type works with text files, so you can use any cloud service to sync your notes on multiple devices. Just put the note files in the cloud service folder of your choice.
Not yet. A few users have requested an iOS app, but it's not on the roadmap yet. If you're interested in an iOS app, please let me know, and I will increase the number of people who requested it.
Yes! Type is free to download with a full-featured 7-day trial. After that, a one-time purchase of $19.99 unlocks it forever, with no subscription.
No, Type is exclusive to the Mac App Store. Every update is reviewed and notarized by Apple, and purchases and refunds are handled securely by Apple.
